If a person is bitten by a venomous snake, the victim must receive medical attention as soon as possible at a healthcare facility equipped with anti-venom serum.
Symptoms of Snake Bites
Several signs and symptoms that may occur after a snake bite include:
Bruising, swelling, blistering, and tissue damage (necrosis) around the bite area.Severe pain, cold sensation, lack of sweating, and difficulty moving.If venom reaches the eyes, it may cause redness, eye muscle disorders, and corneal erosion.
Initial Treatment for Snake Bites

Identify the type of snake that caused the bite, if possible, to assist medical personnel in providing appropriate treatment.Keep the bitten area below heart level to help slow down the spread of venom.Clean the wound with clean water and apply pressure using a clean cloth or gauze.
